A 35-year-old man from Chamkhar died in a road fatality, yesterday. The tractor he had been driving had toppled and fallen some 60 feet below the road.
The accident took place around 3:30 pm in Pongkhana village below the Jakar Dzong.
He succumbed to injuries en route to the National Referral Hospital in Thimphu.
Bumthang traffic officials have said slight rain that day may have made the farm road slippery. They suspect that the tractor could have skidded and toppled.
