A 27-year-old man from Langdurbi village under Bardo Gewog in Zhemgang has been apprehended by the police on Saturday night in connection with a murder. The suspect’s cousin was brutally stabbed in his stomach on Saturday. He succumbed to the injuries on the way to Gelephu hospital.
In a statement to the police, the suspect said, he along with his cousin had gone for some shopping at the Rindigang local market. He said his cousin had slapped him for no reason and he retaliated by taking out his dagger and stabbing him. He said he did not mean to commit the crime.
