An international conference on the protection of cultural properties in Asia began, today, in Thimphu. The conference has been organised by INTERPOL, the Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairs, and the Norwegian Foreign Affairs. Police officials, dzongkhag cultural officers, and representatives of INTERPOL from member countries are attending the conference. INTERPOL is the world’s largest international police organization based in France with 190 member countries, including Bhutan.
