Over the past couple of days, dead pigeons are showing up everywhere in Thimphu. The unusual sighting has many people questioning if it has to do with Bird Flu.
But the officials have ruled out Bird Flu. Their preliminary study showed the test result as negative.
The initial report by the National Centre for Animal Health in Serbithang, however, did show parasitic infection in the carcasses.
The samples of carcasses have been collected for a detailed study.
