A three metre long python was spotted at Shunmari on Nganglam-Gyalpoizhing highway yesterday. Weighing more than 40 kilograms, it had rolled down to the roadside after it had swallowed a deer. The python regurgitated the deer after it was first spotted by some labourers, whose camp is located close by.

According to the forest officials, the python had swallowed the deer about three to four days ago.

The python was later taken to Yang-kholong and released in to the forest.
