Bhutan expands diplomatic relations

Bhutan has established diplomatic relations with the Slovak Republic and the Republic of Turkey.

The Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations with the Slovak Republic was signed between Minister-in-Charge for Foreign Affairs, Khandu Wangchuk and the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Slovak Republic  yesterday at the United Nations in New York.

The Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations with Turkey was also signed yesterday between the foreign ministers of the two countries at the Permanent Mission of Turkey to the United Nations in New York.

At the signing, the two sides expressed interests to cooperate closely in bilateral and multilateral field and further deepen the present level of cooperation at the United Nations and at other multilateral forums.
