4 Indian tourists killed in accident

Four Indian tourists including a woman died in an accident yesterday. The TATA Indica car they were travelling in went off the road about 200 metres below the road. The accident occurred in between Jumja and Ganglakha, around 39 kilometres away from Phuentsholing, at around 7.30pm. They were on their way to Phuentsholing from Thimphu.

The lone survivor is being treated at the Gedu Hospital. The survivor said the accident occurred due to foggy weather.

The Royal Bhutan Police and the Regional Office of the His Majesty’s Representative in Phuentsholing handed over the body to the Indian Consulate General Office in Phuentsholing.

Meanwhile a 22-year-old man died when his Bolero car collided head on with a Truck in Gedu yesterday. The driver was admitted in Gedu hospital and died after an hour. The accident took place near Bhutan Oil Distributor in Gedu.
