Finnish Ambassador to Bhutan presents her credentials

The Ambassador-designate of Finland to Bhutan, Terhi Hakala, presented her credentials to His Majesty the King at the Tashichhodzong yesterday. She was escorted in traditional chipdrel Ceremony.

Ms. Terhi Hakala holds a Master’s Degree in Arts from Abo Akademi in Finland. She joined the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 1988 and has held several positions in Finnish missions abroad.

She has also worked in International Organisations, including the roving Ambassador of Finland to Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.

From 2007-2009, Ambassador Hakala was the head of Mission for Security and Cooperation in Europe to Georgia.

At present, she serves as Ambassador of Finland to India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh.

His Majesty the King granted an audience to the Ambassador after presenting her credentials.
