In order to ensure a minimum standard required of a candidate to appear for the Bhutan Civil Service Examination (BSCE) the preliminary examination for the university graduates was conducted. Over 1,300 university graduates registered for the BCSE for this year, which is slated to be held in November.

During the preliminary examination, candidates were tested in both English and Dzongkha skills, problem solving and data interpretation abilities.

The Chief Human Resource officer of Royal Civil Service Commission said the commission would come up with cut-off points based on the performance of the candidates. In accordance to this, he said, the Commission would declare the results on October 15 along with the shortlisted candidates.

The marks obtained in the preliminary examination will not be carried forward to the main examination.
