Missing Bhutanese boy to be handed over to Bhutan Embassy in New Delhi

A 16-year-old boy, who went missing since September last year from Zhemgang was found in Mumbai, India. The boy will be returned to the Bhutanese Embassy in New Delhi on Friday.

The boy was found in Mumbai in March this year. He was said to have been kidnapped by some unknown people while on his way back from school in Zhemgang. The child was taken to Mumbai and sold off. Mumbai police found the boy and was kept at Dongri Children’s Home.

According to the Bhutanese Embassy in New Delhi, Mumbai police have informed them that the child will be escorted to the embassy on Friday.

    IF only embassy/government is concerned abt Her innocent citizen. I don’t think Embassy ned to wait for Mumbia police to handover. (calling is good but not better). The boy is already traumatised. A visit to Child care home to see a boy can mean a lot.

    I wud expect a investigation of how the child was kidnapped cos Zhemgang is quite far from Indian border which can take2-3 days to reach. I can’t imagine how the kidnapper must have tortured the kid uncounsciously ……

    Yes we need investigation to make our place better and secure to go children to school from any home.
