Blind student takes the title

Fourteen-year old Dorji from the National Institute for Disabled (NID), Khaling, emerged as the winner of the reality show, Little Stars. The grand finale was held yesterday. He took home a cash prize of Nu. 150,000.

The first runners-up, Kinley Wangdi, received Nu. 100,000.

In the third place is Tshering Dema. She took home Nu.50,000 thousand. While, the top five singers were awarded mountain bicycle each, top six received sponsorship for three years of education.

Meanwhile, in the dancing category, B40 group took the first prize. They received Nu. 40,000.

The second place was bagged by group E70. A cash prize of Nu. 30,000 was awarded to them. The group D60 stood third, and received a Nu. 20,000. The prizes were awarded by the Labour Minister, Dorji Wangdi.

The organiser of the show, Pema Wangda said, a similar show will be organized towards the end of this year. The Little Star show was started in February this year.
