Punakha police are investigating an illicit trafficking of marijuana involving a couple from Thinleygang in Punakha.
The couple aged 39 and 48 were arrested from their house on August 24 with more than 45 sticks of marijuana stash.
The couple was under police surveillance for more than four years. Sources say they buy marijuana stashes not only from nearby locality but also from Bumthang and Monggar. They then sell in Thimphu and Phuentshogling for higher prices.
