Bhutan loses to India in SAFF U-15 championship

Bhutan lost to the India 0-1 in the ongoing SAFF U-15 Women’s Championship on Monday.

The Indian skipper, Shilky Devi, scored the only goal in the 58th minute of the second half.

Despite losing the game, Bhutanese girls’ is through to semi-finals. They will now play against the defending champions Bangladesh tomorrow.

“India is one of the strongest team with good experience. Our girls had only a day’s rest after the match with Sri Lanka. But team India had three days to take a complete rest. But our girls did their best and now we are focusing on our next match,” Sung Jae Lee, the Head Coach of Bhutanese team, said.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh defeated the Nepalese girls 3-0 in the second match.

Team India will now face Nepal in the semi-finals of the championship.
