Norgaygang wants to return its GC road to the DoR

The 17-kilometre long Norgaygang Gewog centre road in Samtse benefits over 600 households. However, since the completion of the road in 2017, it has not seen much maintenance works. With a limited budget and the road being very long, the gewog administration is not able to maintain the road.

A non-teaching staff in custody for alleged rape of a minor- Tsirang

A 26-year-old man is in the custody of Tsirang Police for the alleged rape of a minor. The suspect, working as a lab assistant in one of the schools in Tsirang, was arrested last Friday. The girl, who is 17 years old, is a student in the same school.

Certificate, a must for hotels to operate in new normal

The Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB) will now certify all tourism service providers in the country to be able to operate in the new normal. It is as per the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), developed by the council. Construction of new bridge along Damchhu-Haa bypass to begin from November

A new bridge over Wangchhu along the Damchhu-Haa bypass will be constructed from November. The project DANTAK will construct the bridge. The previous bridge which was almost complete collapsed in February this year killing nine Indian workers.

Three arrested including a minor on suspicion of engaging in prostitution, P/ling

The Phuentshogling Police have detained two women and a girl on suspicion of engaging in prostitution. They were arrested on Wednesday last week. The three are suspected to have provided sexual services from a massage parlour in Phuentshogling town.
