De-suung National Service Water Project to benefit Lunaps

Once complete, the De-suung National Service Water Project will benefit around two hundred households of Chhubesa Kidu Settlement in Goenshari Gewog, Punakha. The beneficiaries are people from Lunana who used to migrate to Punakha to get away from the harsh cold winters.

Eastern C-19TF decides to penalize Heruka Security Service for breaching COVID protocols in Nganglam

The Eastern COVID-19 Task Force and Nganglam Dungkhag COVID-19 Task Force decided to impose a fine of Nu 5 M on Heruka Security Service based in Thimphu for breaching COVID-19 safety protocols. The task forces found that the source of COVID-19 transmission in Nganglam was a breach of safety protocols by the company's security personnel at the DCCL containment zone. 

Rural people of Gelegphu and Chhuzanggang want new site for sand and stone extraction

People in the rural community of  Gelegphu and Chuzergang wants a separate site along the Mao river bed to extract sand and stone. They said buying sand and stone at revised rate from the NRDCL is expensive.
