Tenants of the National Housing Development Corporation Limited (NHDCL) at Pekarzhing in Phuentshogling are not happy with the house rents. They say it is too high considering the housing colony's proximity from the town.

Wetlands likely to be converted into dry lands for villagers of Sangtsheri in Zhemgang

57 households of Sangtseri village in Phangkhar Gewog in Zhemgang live in constant fear of having to demolish their houses built on wetlands. In 2016 the Dzongkhag, upon finding that the settlements were on wetlands, had asked them to demolish their houses within six months' time. It is illegal to establish houses on wetlands as per the Land Act 2007.

MoWHS turns down Trongsa Dzongkhags plan of constructing a multi-level car park below the town

Ministry of Works and Human Settlement has turned down the Trongsa Dzongkhag’s plan of constructing a multi-car Park in the town. The ministry found that the chosen location was not feasible. Hence the ministry has asked the dzongkhag to explore a feasible location.
