Dantak officials are in the process of constructing a 30-meter bridge near Kamji, along Thimphu-Phuentshogling Highway, after a huge section of road was washed away, last night.

Residents in Gelegphu are facing water shortage as Mao Khola completely submerges the water treatment plant and water tank located on its bank. The tank caters water to 80 percent of Gelephug’s residents.

A settlement along the Amochhu, commonly known as Toorsa river bank in Phuentshogling, is likely to get washed away if it continues to rain. The entire area is already flooded after experiencing heavy rainfall for the past four days.

Woman admitted after pack of dogs attack her

A woman, 31, sustained severe injuries after a pack of dogs attacked her, at Pamtsho in Thimphu, today. She was brought to the hospital at around 7 in the morning.

Sarpang flood washes away portion of Tsirang-Sarpang Highway

(Update): The major flood in Sarpang has washed away a portion of road, blocking the Tsirang-Sarpang Highway at around 11 AM, this morning.
