His Majesty The King granted an audience to the Director General of Military Operations of India, Lt. General Ranbir Singh, yesterday.

Dorona Gewog in Dagana, one of the most remote gewog has remained cut off from the rest of the dzongkhag for over a week now. Following heavy monsoon, its gewog connectivity road has been blocked.

The swelling Setikharey stream yesterday threatened 16 households of lower Pelrithang in Gelegphu. Eight households were affected and their belongings were evacuated to safer ground yesterday.

Hundreds of people are working day and night to contain the swelling Amochhu and Dhuti Rivers in Phuentshogling. People have been working for five sleepless days so far.

Bhutan may be experiencing one of its worst monsoon floods, with reports of damages pouring in from most parts of the country especially from the southern districts.

The Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay personally led the mitigation team at Amochhu in Phuentshogling since last night.

The relief and rescue team evacuated 14 households to safer ground after the Setikharey stream in Gelegphu overflowed and changed its course, today. It started overflowing at around 5 AM.

Another Bailey Bridge adjoining Budhini Bridge in Samtse collapsed, today following a torrential downpour, last night. Budhini Bridge had collapsed Friday.
