Deki Wangmo to represent Bhutan at Miss Asia pageant

Project Bhutan’s super model, Deki Wangmo, 21, will represent Bhutan at the Manappuram Miss Asia 2015 pageant. The pageant will be held in Kochi in South India on August 18. Deki Wangmo is a student.

Court refuses to register Tenzu Consultancy case

A group of 30 people, who were supposedly conned by Tenzu Consultancy, say the Thimphu District Court is refusing to register their case. The court has apparently asked them to first locate the consultancy’s owner, who had promised them jobs in Malaysia. The owner is said to be at large.

Girl, wounded by snare-trap, being treated

A 10-year-old girl, from Tama Village in Zhemgang, is being treated at Yebilaptsha Hospital, after her right thigh was partially mutilated by a snare-trap.

Boulder crushes a man to death

A huge boulder crushed a 23-year-old man from Zhemgang when drilling a rock to place explosives for blasting at 10 AM, yesterday. He, along with a 27-year-old man, was working at the Ganglapong farm road construction in Monggar when a huge boulder tumbled down the slope and pinned him.
