A man, 30, drowned in a drain on Monday night in Paro. The incident occurred in Geptey area under Wangchang Gewog in Paro.

Man allegedly stabbed to death

A 32-year-old man died on the spot after his friend allegedly stabbed him on his chest in Thimphu, yesterday. The incident took place at around 3.15 PM, following an argument at the deceased aunt’s place in Lungtenzampa.

Haa District Court acquitted Foreign Minister, Rinzin Dorje of the alleged abuse of functions, related to Lhakhang Karpo’s reconstruction, as the then Haa Dzongda.

MERS scare puts Bhutan on Red Alert

Bhutan is on a Red Alert zone, owing to its flight routes to Thailand’s capital, Bangkok, as Thailand has reported a confirmed case of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV).
