Around 12 percent of people suffering from tuberculosis remain undetected. Health secretary, Dorji Wangchuk said the missed cases are because of lapses in health system and lack of cooperation from individuals and communities.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) received highest corruption complaints from the local governance level, their quarterly report say. Of the 70 complaints ACC received between October and December last year, 19 were from the local governments.

Water-borne diseases on decline in Bumthang
The number of water-related diseases, diarrhoea and dysentery, are on the decline in Bumthang, shows health records of the dzongkhag. The decline has been attributed to after the rural water supply and sanitation programme conducted by the district health.

Woman detained after her boyfriend was found dead
Tshimasham Police in Chhukha have detained a 37-year-old woman from Gaeddu after her boyfriend was found dead. The body of the 49-year-old man was recovered from the steps of a power colony building in Tshimalakha.
