To have a clear picture of how money is being invested in the gewogs, the Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay has asked the Ministry of Finance to work on budget allocation of the Local Government for 2015-16.

Rock bolt failures in Tala Hydropower plant have decreased over the years. The last such failure the plant saw was in August. Rock bolt is an anchor bolt drilled inside the rock strata of the tunnel to stabilise it.

A windstorm blew away the roof of Takchu Lhakhang in Monggar, yesterday. The roof of the Lam’s residence of Pongchila Goenpa was also blown away. The windstorm also blew away rooftops of several homes across the dzonkhag. No casualties were reported. The windstorm, which began at 6:30 PM lasted for about 10 minutes.
