Druk Phuensum Tshopga (DPT) will not pay Bha- the monetary surety of Nu.75 Million- as demanded by the Special Adviser to the National Environment Commission, Dasho Paljor J. Dorji, popularly known as Dasho Benji.
Retaining qualified teachers still a challenge
Retaining qualified teachers continues to pose a challenge, the education ministry says. Considerable number of teachers is leaving the profession every year, the annual education statistics 2014 reveals. From 2008 to 2014, more than 1,500 teachers have left the profession.
Number of people abusing drugs rising
Number of people abusing drugs is on the rise. The Royal Bhutan Police arrested 530 male and 31 female in 2013. The number went up to 711 in 2014.
