Gyalpoizhing Forest Range intercepts illegal sandalwood

Gyalpoizhing Forest Range office seized 100 cubic feet of sandalwood from Zimzorong in Monggar, this morning. The wood was found hidden under sacks of rice in a truck that was travelling to Paro.

Inflation continues to drop

Bhutan’s consumer inflation continued to drop, reaching an all time low of 6.3 percent in December, last year. In November, inflation recorded was 6.6 percent.

Challenges of autonomous schools

Giving autonomy to schools is proving to be successful, according to the Ministry of Education’s Review Report of Autonomous Schools. MoE received appraisal documents from 19 schools that were granted autonomy, a year ago.
