Man apprehended for possessing tobacco products
A 27-year-old man from Samtse has been apprehended by the Tingtibi police for possessing tobacco products. Police seized around a 100 packets of cigarettes and 68 dozens of chewing tobacco from his house in Tingtbi, following a tip off.
A one-storied house was completely gutted by fire at Gongdue in Monggar, yesterday. A 66-year-old mother was alone at home when the fire started. She escaped unhurt. More than 9000 Samdrupjongkharpas get land Kidu
His Majesty the King granted 15,328 acres of land as kidu to 9,758 beneficiaries in Samdrup Jongkhar today. His Majesty also granted exemptions to the thram-holders who are required to pay for excess land, and also granted refund those who had already paid.
