ACC files restitution case in connection with Gyalpoizhing land scam

The Anti-Corruption Commission has filed restitution case to 71 land-recipients under the Gyalpoizhing land scam case at Monggar court this morning.

International Day for Elimination of violence against Women observed

SAARC food bank board meeting begins

The sixth board meeting of SAARC food bank board began in the capital, today. During the two-day meeting members will deliberate on transaction of grains, in case of emergencies, and food shortages, review on threshold on withdrawal of food grains, storage methods and practices, establishment of food analysis laboratories among others.

Bumthang fire contained

The forest fire that broke out in Dungmithang in Bumthang, yesterday, was contained today. The fire was brought under control by a team consisting of the Royal Bhutan Police, the Dzongkhag, divisional forestry officials, trainees from the Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation of Environment and the people from Chhoekhor and Tang Gewogs.

Gelegphu Boxing Championship enters semi-finals

The National Boxing Championship in Gelegphu has entered its semi-finals. The finals are slated for Monday. The Championship saw 94 participants from the RBA’s ninth wing.
