There is no denying the fact that films and documentaries can promote tourism. But, what kind of films and documentaries? During a three-day workshop on roles of films and documentaries in promoting regional tourism, local filmmakers were urged to work towards producing films of international standard.

The legal battle between Thimphu Thromde and Tashi Commercial Corporation finally comes to an end with Tashi Commercial Corporation officially taking over the taxi parking area. The handing-taking of the land was done after the Supreme Court passed the verdict in favor of Tashi Commercial Corporation in August.

The statistics show the cases of domestic violence against women in the country are on the rise. According to the records maintained with RENEW, a Civil Society Organisation that stands for Respect, Educate, Nurture and Empower Women, more than 1,217 domestic violence cases have been reported from 2008 to 2012.

Most Dungsam cement dealers across the country feel that they should be allowed to supply cement outside their designated areas. The contract agreement between the dealers and Dungsam Cement Corporation says, they are only to deal with customers within the purview.
