Two storied house razed to the ground

A two storied house has been completely gutted by a fire in Denchi village under Shumar gewog in Pemagatshel. The incident took place in the early hours at around 1 am today. According to the owner of the house, the family was sleeping when the roof of their house caught fire. The owner says the cause could probably be short circuit.  No causalities have been reported.

Public transport woes in Zhemgang

People of Zhemgang and Trongsa taking a public transport to Gelephu and Buli have to wait for hours and sometimes even a whole day. It has been over a month since the three buses which plies in between Zhemgang to Gelephu and Gelephu to Buli have been irregular. The buses used to ply thrice a week.

Woman’s body found near Shaba Bridge

A woman in her 20s was found dead near a bridge in Shaba in Paro this morning. The deceased was from Samtse. She is survived by her husband and two children.

Ginger price at all time low
