Following the media reports on the Bhutan Lottery scam, the Bhutan Lottery has now been closed.

Lightening kills cows

Five cows were killed by lightening at Achu-lakha in Paro yesterday. Achu-lakha is located near Chelela pass on the Haa-Paro highway. None of the cow herders were injured.

Special scholarship launched

A flash flood has been reported at the Olakha in Thimphu. Speaking from the Olarongchu site, the home and cultural affairs minister said the flood is manageable but since it is raining at Dochula area, people living nearby the Olarongchu should remain alert.
