RENEW on the importance of Counseling for Mental Wellbeing

RENEW stands for Respect, Educate, Nurture and Empower Women in Bhutan. It was founded by Her Majesty the Queen Mother Sangay Choden Wangchuck in 2004. RENEW is a non-profit organization dedicated to empower women and children in Bhutan. RENEW provides counseling services for free.

Our producer Sonam Dema interviewed the Executive Director of RENEW, Tshering Dolkar, on the importance of counseling for mental wellbeing.

Bhutan Chess Club

The Bhutan Chess Federation was first established in 2004. However, it remained dormant for the last eight years. It has, now, revived as Bhutan Chess Club, with over 30 registered members and over a hundred online members from around the country.
Our producer Sonam Dema interviewed the secretary general of the Bhutan Chess Club, Ugyen Wangchuk.

All the Stars that Collide: a fiction highlighting mental health issues

Tenzin Dresen Wangmo is a 17-year-old Bhutanese writer who recently published her debut novel, All the Stars that Collide, a fiction that highlights social and mental health issues common among the youth today.
Our producer Sonam Dema interviewed her to talk more about mental health and the joy of writing.

Druk GPS

A group is training and creating awareness on global positioning systems (GPS) by simplifying the complexities that come with GPS. Druk GPS is presently giving short training courses to tourist guides and Desuups. They also have presented their ideas to government offices and institutions with the aim to train as many Bhutanese on the GPS Coordinates system.
