
Baseball in Bhutan is now official with more than 50 children taking part in a Baseball coaching programme. The children will go through 9 coaching sessions, after which 5 children will be selected to represent Bhutan at the World Children’s Baseball Fair in Fukui in Japan in August.

Wizards are the winners of the first ever A division basketball championship. The team defeated Phojas by nine and a half baskets in the finals played, yesterday. The final match took place at the YDF indoor basketball court in Thimphu.

The Thuenlam Championship 2013 football tournament is underway in the Capital. In the first match today, the RICBL FC won the match from Zhabtog FC. The RICBL team scored two goals, while Zhabtog team scored only one goal.

United Sikkim FC defeated Yeedzin FC by four goals to two in the final match played in Thimphu, yesterday. Thousands of spectators came to watch the final game. They had especially come to watch the former Indian football captain and co-owner of United Sikkim, Baichung Bhutia play.
